Creanijn Album Track II

I started last week showing the result from the Creanijn Album Track I attended a while ago. Before the workshop we received a mail from Vicky (http://creanijn.blogspot.com/) with the number and the sizes of the pictures we needed. It was quite a work to go from 800 to 50 vacation photos and I even had little discussions with my mum (= my travel partner). On the day of the Album Track we received a handout with all the sketches, so everyone could work in their own tempo. I really liked this concept!

This page is about the village where we stayed. Not so much to see there so one page was enough to show the highlights. The PP is from Scenic Route - Rockland Clarendon Street.

New Year's Eve Menu

Last year my mother and I went to Pipoos and while I was choosing supplies, my mother looked at the examples in the shop. She saw a very nice tealight card and said she wanted to make this as a menu on New Year's Eve. You must know my mother never wanted to try cardmaking before and at home she already had doubts about her idea. But I conviced her to give it a try. I found a great tutorial (in Dutch, http://madeliefjuh.blogspot.com/2010/03/kaart-met-een-doosje-werkbeschrijving.html) and with some help she finished the first menu. We kept it simple as my mother doesn't really love cute stuff. Our guest were very impressed with these little gifts!

P.S. I have to admit I made the other 7 menus, as my mother didn't really enjoy it.

Copic storage

Some months ago I discovered a craft shop in my neighbourhood. The scrapbook and stamp corner was rather small, but as it's hard to find this in Belgium, I was happy with it. Little later the owner unfortunately decided to specialise in knitting and jewelmaking and to stop the other activities. Sad news, but I was also able to buy great stuff in the sale. My Magnolia and Copic collection exploded. I went to the shop on my birthday to spend the money I received and the nice owner asked if I wanted to have the Copic tower as she didn't need it anymore. I was really enthousiastic as I didn't have Copic storage yet. This weekend I bought the last 4 missing Ciao's and this is how my tower looks like now. I already left spaces for the new colours soon to be released :). When I have time I still want to add number to the markers, so I can immediately grab the right colour. I haven't decided what to do with the cilinder in the middle: cut if of or put something over it? Ideas are welcome!

Creanijn Album Track

On 11/11/2010 I went to an album track, organised bij Vicky (http://creanijn.blogspot.com/). I'm not the world's fastest scrapper, so it was a great idea to have an album finished in 1 day.
It was a fantastic experience. I worked with Vicky's sketches from 09.00'till 17.30, with only a little break for lunch and some cake in the afternoon. The result was an album with all the patterned papers and pictures glued together. There was no time left to add details such as title, journaling and embellishments. It took me quite a while to have all this done at home. But now I'm proud to announce my first scrapbook is completed! To avoid an overdose of pictures I'll show a LO every week, starting with the cover today! It was actually the last page of the album track, as it's made with leftovers from the other pages. I created the title with Cricut-Georges and Basic Shapes cartridge.

Favorite five of 2010

http://debby4000.blogspot.com/2010/12/favorite-five-of-2010.html

I don't seem to get started this year, so a look back on my favorite cards of last year.
